Issued by a state, this document certifies that a company legally exists as of the date of issuance.
A certificate of good standing is a document issued by a state as evidence that the corporation or LLC is in existence or authorized to conduct business in that particular state. It also provides that the company is in compliance with all state-required formalities and may be required by certain financial institutions in order to open an account.
